The environmental and sustainability program in University of Colorado Denver is seeking a perspective doctoral student interested in microbial fuel cells (MFCs) and environmental biotechnology. The goal of the research is to investigate the biological and electrochemical constraints of MFC systems that lead to a practical system for application. Applicants should have strong academic records, excellent English communication skills, and strong self-motivation. Experience in MFCs, environmental microbiology, or electrochemistry are desirable. to apply our NSF IGERT Program Fellowship in Sustainable Urban
Infrastructure, which will provide an annual stipend of $30,000/year
and full tuition support for up to 2.33 years. Non-US Citizen or PR
