Hello I'm a high school student and I'm going to be constructing an MFC for a science project. I've been reading about some homemade MFCs and I was wondering if there are any precautions I should take while making it so as to ensure it works properly. I'm creating a 2 chambered MFC and using wastewater from a nearby water source. A few questions I'm considering for the research are which types of microorganisms are most effective in producing the most electric current and wastewater from what area of the water source produces the most electric current. Any tips on building and testing MFCs would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
