Science Fair Project- What type of water?

I am building an MFC for my science fair project, and I want to compare the energy outputs two different types of water. However, I am unable to use wastewater. What types of water should I use?

Do you have bacterial stock or do you wanna use the native bacteria? Buffer with some carbon source either lactate or acetate mite do the job for you. Hope it helps, let me know if you got more questions
